Urban Living is a project of the city administration in Berlin. It was created in 2013 as an international idea challenge on the topic of “Urban Living – new forms of urban housing” in cooperation with the public urban development companies in Berlin. From more than 200 applications, 31 teams were selected, who then worked on questions of urban living. The teams created innovative solutions for eight exemplary urban spaces.

The innovative concepts were displayed and discussed online between March 5 and April 5 2014 on urbanliving.berlin.de. The platform was created by Liquid Democracy specifically for this purpose based on our open source Adhocracy software. On top of that the public was invited to add their own ideas and concepts, which were then given to the different stakeholders involved in urban development.
